WEEKEND'S OPPONENTSThe Mavericks hold exteremly slim hopes of making the RMAC Tournament and all hopes are pinned on this weekends matches. Wins over CSU-Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands would give the Mavericks 11 points and they would have to hold out hope on a pair of losses next weekend.
PLAYER OF THE WEEKJunior midfielder
Brooklynn Meinke was named the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a hat trick in Colorado Mesa's win over MSU Denver on Sunday. It was also the first time a Maverick had scored five points or more in a match since Tayler Franklin did on Octpber 6, 2013 against UCCS.
HAT TRICKBrooklynn Meinke snapped a long streak for the Mavericks on Sunday. She tallied the first hat trick for Colorado Mesa since September 22, 2006 when Lauren Sell scored three goals against CSU-Pueblo at then Bergman Field.
FOUR GOALSColorado Mesa scored four goals in the 4-0 win over MSU Denver. The last time the Mavericks scored four goals in a match was August 28, 2009 when they defeated Wayne State (Neb.) 4-1.Â
GOOD WINThe Mavericks handed MSU Denver their worse loss since 2001 last Sunday. MSU Denver lost 5-1 to West Texas in 2001 which is also the last time the allowed four or more goals.
POPE MOVES UPÂ Senior
Sarah Pope moved up to fourth on the all-time assist list with a pair of assists in
Brooklynn Meinke's hat trick. Pope currently sits in a tie with Kira Brannan (2006-09) and Daniela Ramirez (2008-10) with 13 assists.
COACHING STAFFThe Mavericks coaching staff remains the same as last season with head coach
Jason Clare entering his second season at the helm and third season in the program.Â

Kortney Rhoades enters her second year in the program as well.
RMAC PRESEASON POLLThe Mavericks were picked ninth in the preseason coaches poll after finishing in tenth place last season. Colorado Mesa was picked ahead of Adams State, Colorado Christian and RMAC newcomer Westminster. The top six teams qualify for the RMAC Tournament in November.
VIDEO STREAMINGColorado Mesa and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference have teamed up with Stretch Internet to provide video streaming for all home games this season. Video streaming will also be free this season. Find the link at CMUmavericks.com.
