LAST WEEKEND
Colorado Mesa went 0-2 last weekend in a pair of overtime matches away from Walker Field. The Mavericks fell to Fort Lewis 2-1 in overtime in Durango. The Skyhawks earned a controversial penalty kick in overtime which they converted while Ashley Wallace scored the Mavericks goal to give them a 1-0 lead in the match. On Sunday, Colorado Mesa fell to Adams State 1-0 in overtime in Alamosa. 

SWING 4 LIFE
The Colorado Mesa soccer teams will be hosting their annual 'Pink on the Pitch' match that supports Colorado Mesa alum Kathy Howa's Swing 4 Life Foundation that benefits Huntsmans Cancer Research. Proceeds from the match will go towards Swing 4 Life. The Mavericks will wear pink warmup tops and pink jerseys for their matches against MSU Denver and Fort Lewis.

WEEKEND'S OPPONENTS
The Regis Rangers own a 10-29-2 record against the Mavericks dating back to when Colorado Mesa started their program in 1996. MSU Denver holds a 13-23-0 record with the Mavericks but have been less fortunate away from Denver. The Roadrunners are 9-11-0 in Grand Junction.

WALLACE
Ashley Wallace may be the Mavericks biggest scoring threat this year. She leads the team with a pair of goals and has seven goals in her three seasons with four of those coming as game-winners. She has also played in exactly 40 games as a Maverick.

POPE MOVES UP 
Senior Sarah Pope moved up on the all-time assist list and now sits in a tie for eighth place. Pope assisted Ashley Wallace for the game tying goal on Sunday against Colorado Christian. She now has 10 assists in her career.

COACHING STAFF
The Mavericks coaching staff remains the same as last season with head coach Jason Clare entering his second season at the helm and third season in the program. 
Assistant coach Kortney Rhoades enters her second year in the program as well.

RMAC PRESEASON POLL
The Mavericks were picked ninth in the preseason coaches poll after finishing in tenth place last season. Colorado Mesa was picked ahead of Adams State, Colorado Christian and RMAC newcomer Westminster. The top six teams qualify for the RMAC Tournament in November.

VIDEO STREAMING
Colorado Mesa and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference have teamed up with Stretch Internet to provide video streaming for all home games this season. Video streaming will also be free this season. Find the link at CMUmavericks.com.

MAVERICKS ON AIR
KMSA 91.3FM,Colorado Mesa's student ran radio station, will be providing broadcasts this season for select home games. Check out the women's soccer schedule page to find out those select games.

NEXT UP
The Mavericks will conclude their three match road trip on Wednesday against Westminster in Salt Lake City. Then, they will return home next weekend for a pair of matches against Regis and MSU Denver at Walker Field.
