Roy Abergil penalty kick in overtime. The win is the third in a row for the Mavericks against Colorado Mines.
On Sunday, they fell 3-0 to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions in Colorado Springs. The loss was the first time since September 30, 2012 that the Mavericks allowed an opposing team to score three goals (L 2-3 to #5 Regis).
SHUTOUTThe Mavericks were shutout for the first time since October 13, 2013 on Sunday in their match with UCCS. CMU's opponent on that date last season, UCCS in a 0-0 tie in Colorado Springs.Â

Micah Conrads is the backbone of the Colorado Mesa defense. Conrads ranks in the NCAA Top 50 in nearly every major category including save percentage, saves per game and total saves.

GAME WINNERSSophomore
Roy Abergil leads the Mavericks in goals this season with three. One unique feature about all of Abergil's goals is that they were all game winners. His three game-winners also rank second in all of Division II.
NSCAA REGIONAL POLLColorado Mesa maintained their position in the NSCAA South Central region poll at No. 9. Lurking a week from now could be a date with the top ranked team in the region and nationally ranked MSU Denver.

Cole Sweetser is in his first season as a collegiate coach. Sweetser was one of the best players in RMAC history and was named to the RMAC's all-century team.
2013 RMAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPSThe Mavericks won their first-ever RMAC Tournament last season, defeating the Regis Rangers 2-1 in double overtime.
Oliver Querin booted in the game-winning goal in the second overtime period and was named to the all-tournament team.
RMAC PRESEASON POLLColorado Mesa was picked to finish second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and received three first place votes, in the preseason coaches poll. Regis was picked to win the RMAC.
NEXT UPThe Mavericks will be back in the friendly confinds of Walker Field for a four match homestand. Next week, they will be matched up with nationally ranked MSU Denver on Friday before a match with upstart Colorado Christian.
