Women's Lacrosse Closes Regular Season With Win

Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Seniors Allie Henderson and Taylor Lansdown each scored for the Colorado Mesa women's lacrosse team in a 12-9 win over Adams State Saturday (April 26). Senior Lauren Wells made six saves for CMU in the final home game of the year for the Mavericks.

Lansdown opened the scoring with a CMU goal just over a minute into the contest.

Adams would respond with four straight goals over a four minute span.

The two teams entered the break at 5-5 after CMU scored four of the final five goals of the half.

The Mavericks opened the second half with three goals, including a pair by Lexi Chavez. Chavez would finish with a team-high four points (three goals, one assist).

Both teams would score four more goals in the game.

Haley Kroll finished with three goals for CMU, and Ashley Eickhoff finished with two.

Colorado Mesa finished with a 26-22 edge in shots.

Colorado Mesa finishes the regular season 8-6 overall and 2-3 in the RMAC. The Mavericks will participate in the first ever RMAC women's lacrosse tournament May 2-3 in Denver.
