Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa men's lacrosse team won their fourth game in a row on Saturday afternoon when they defeated the Colorado College Tigers 7-5. The Mavericks improved to 7-2 on the season and will have a shot at the Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Championship next weekend.
Seven different Mavericks scored goals in the match. They took 33 shots in the match with 17 of those coming on goal.
Michael Beimford led the team with a goal and an assist in the game.
Preseason All-American
Brad Brandenburg saved the Mavericks in net today. Brandenburg finished the game with 21 saves and faced 48 shots on the day.
The Mavericks will travel to California for a pair of matches next weekend. They will face Notre Dame de Namur on Friday before a showdown with Dominican on Sunday.
