Women's Lacrosse Dominates at Rockhurst

Box Score KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lexi Chavez finished with seven points (1 goal, 6 assists) and Allie Henderson had five points (1 goal, 4 assists) to lead the Colorado Mesa women's lacrosse team to an 18-4 RMAC win at Rockhurst Thursday (April 10).

Overall 14 different players tallied at least one point for the Mavericks who improve to 6-4 overall and 1-1 in league play.

CMU rattled off seven straight goals before Hannah Weisbrod got RU on the board in the 14th minute.

The Mavericks added five more goals in the first half to lead 12-2 at halftime.

Rockhurst scored the first goal of the second half, but Colorado Mesa scored six of the final seven goals of the half.

The Maroon and Gold finished with a 19-5 edge in draw controls and a 27-10 edge in shots.

Lauren Wells started in goal for CMU making four saves and allowing two goals. Jillian Pfeifer made one save and allowed two goals in 30 minutes of action.

Colorado Mesa will play at McKendree Friday (April 11).
