SCOUTING THE MOUNTAIN LIONS

Colorado Mesa defeated UCCS back on January 10, 64-46. The Mavericks started the game out in a 1-0 hole but finished the first half 33-8 run en route to the win. The Mountain Lions are led by one of the best players in the RMAC in Abby Kirchoff. She averages 21.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. 

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Colorado Mesa remains unbeaten on the season when they hold their opponents under 40 percent shooting on the night. In the loss to Fort Lewis, the Skyhawks shot 42.4 percent from the field. 

RMAC SHOOTOUT

Colorado Mesa won the RMAC regular season championship and received the top seed in the tournament. CSU-Pueblo earned the two seed followed by Fort Lewis and Regis. All of those schools will host quarterfinal games on Tuesday.
