Mavericks Ground Hawks 21-3

Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Colorado Mesa took 53 shots and scored 21 goals in a 21-3 win over Rockhurst University on Tuesday night at Walker Field. The Hawks are in their inaugural season playing NCAA men's lacrosse.
 
Colorado Mesa jumped out to a 10-0 first half lead and never looked back.
 
The Mavericks took 20-of-28 face-offs and picked up 55 groundballs. Alex Boyle was 11-for-15 on his face-off opportunities and picked up four groundballs.
 
Stephen Dunn and Daniel Caddoo led CMU with four goals apiece. Caddoo also finished with three assists while Dunn added an assist. Caddoo finished with a team-high seven points on the night.
 
 Austin Pridham tallied five assists in the game and scored one goal on five shots.
 
Senior Brad Brandenburg picked up the win in goal. Brandenburg played the first half and didn't allow a goal and made four saves.
 
Peter Hummel picked up a hat trick for the Hawks.
 
Colorado Mesa will head to Florida for a trio of games starting with Rollins on March 23 at 11am.
