Box Score DURANGO, Colo. – The second ranked Colorado Mesa University women's basketball team did something they hadn't done in 25 straight games on Saturday night…they lost. The Fort Lewis Skyhawks defeated the Mavericks 76-70 in Whalen Gymnasium to snap the Mavericks 25 game win streak.
Colorado Mesa shot just 38 percent (26-of-67) from the field and 62 percent (13-of-21) from the free-throw line. They were outrebounded 44-43 but committed fewer turnover than the Skyhawks 12-9.
The Mavericks took their first lead of the game with 5:25 to go in the game but were outscored 17-9 in the final five minutes.
Aubry Boehme led the Mavericks with 24 points and seven rebounds. She also added two blocks and a steal.
Sharaya Selsor finished with 22 points but was just 3-of-11 from behind the three-point arc.
Fort Lewis' Erika Richards finished with a game-high 37 points.
