NATIONAL POLL
The Colorado Mesa women's basketball team moved up two spots in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll to No. 14 after a pair of wins against Simon Fraser and McMurry in the Holiday Inn - Airport Thanksgiving Classic. This is the 31st consecutive week the Mavericks are ranked in the Top 25 of the WBCA poll where they peaked at No. 2 a year ago.

ODD STAT
The Mavericks are 3-0 this season when they commit more turnovers than their opponents and 0-1 when they commit fewer turnovers. The only time this season they committed fewer turnovers was in their loss to No. 3 Drury in the Colorado Christian Tournament where the Mavericks committed seven turnovers to the Panthers nine.

CHANGING BALLS
Senior Leanndra Gilbert played her first two games of the season in the Thanksgiving Classic. Just four days prior, Gilbert was playing for the volleyball team in the NCAA South Central Region Championship match. In her first weekend, she rose to second on the team in rebounds after averaging ten per night and she tallied a career-high in blocks with four against McMurry.

NEXT UP
Colorado Mesa will host their first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference home matches when they play the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls and the Western New Mexico Mustans in Brownson Arena.
