Austin Jex scored the match-winner from near midfield on a free kick in the 1-0 victory over Colorado Mines.
Roy Abergil netted a hat trick in the Mavericks 4-0 win over Adams State in Alamosa on Friday.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEKAnother RMAC award found its way to Colorado Mesa.
Brandyn Bumpas was awarded the RMAC's Goalkeeper of the Week after his shutout against Colorado Mines last Wednesday. Bumpas made five saves while facing 16 total shots. The shutout was the fourth of the season for him and moved his record to 6-0 on the year.Â
BRICK WALLColorado Mesa has a unique situation at goalkeeper. The Mavericks have a pair of goalies who are among the RMAC's best. 6-5 senior
Micah Conrads leads the RMAC in goals against average at 0.74 and save percentage .850.
Brandyn Bumpas would be the leader but does not qualify yet with a 0.33 goals against average and a .889 save percentage.

Roy Abergil had a historic match last Friday against Colorado Christian. Abergil recorded the program's first-ever hat trick, scoring three goals in the Mavericks 4-0 victory. He netted one goal in the first half and two more in the second.
NSCAA POLLColorado Mesa moved up four spots in the national poll to #10, which is the highest ranking in program history. They also maintained the #1 ranking in the South Central region poll.
STREAKINGThe Mavericks have won eight matches in a row and have outscored their opponents 13-2 during the streak. The more amazing feat may be that they have won their last five matches by shutout.
NATIONAL RANKINGSThe Mavericks have been among the nation's best when it comes to defense all season long. With seniors along the back line and in goal, they rank in the top seven in three categories nationally. Goals against average (0.55) they rank 7th, save percentage (.869) they rank sixth, and in shutout percentage (0.64) they rank 4th.

COACHINGFirst year coach
Todd Padgett is in his first collegiate season on the men's side. Padgett spent the last two seasons as the head coach at Eastern New Mexico for the women's program.Â
Assistant coach
Cole Sweetser is in his first season as a collegiate coach. Sweetser was one of the best players in RMAC history and was named to the RMAC's all-century team.
2013 RMAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPSThe Mavericks won their first-ever RMAC Tournament last season, defeating the Regis Rangers 2-1 in double overtime.
Oliver Querin booted in the game-winning goal in the second overtime period and was named to the all-tournament team.
RMAC PRESEASON POLLColorado Mesa was picked to finish second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and received three first place votes, in the preseason coaches poll. Regis was picked to win the RMAC.
NEXT UPThe Mavericks will be on the road for the final time during the regular season when they head out of town to face the likes of the Regis Rangers and the MSU Denver Roadrunners next weekend.
