Bad Fourth Quarter Leads To Maverick Loss

The Colorado Mesa University men's lacrosse team concluded its two-game road swing in Missouri with a match against Lindenwood on Tuesday night in St. Charles. The Mavericks led 7-5 after three periods, but allowed five fourth quarter goals in a 10-8 defeat to the Lions. Colorado Mesa falls to 5-6 on the season while the Lions are now 6-4 on the year.

Colorado Mesa's defense kept Lindenwood off the board for most of the night as the Mavericks only won four faceoffs in the game and faced 40 Lion shots.

Austin Pridham continued to lead the Mavericks offensively on Tuesday night. Pridham finished the game with a hat trick on five total shots. He now has a team-leading 17 goals on the season. He also added an assist in the game.

Josh Russell and Johnny Nitti each had four groundball pickups for the Mavericks.

Colorado Mesa will return home for their final games of the season. On Saturday, they will take on the Tampa Spartans at 1:00pm at Walker Field.
