	Colorado Mesa (2-8, 2-4 WILA) fell to second place Regis University 17-8 in Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association action on Saturday afternoon in Denver. The win improved the Rangers' record to 8-4 overall and 6-1 in WILA play.
	Regis took an early 3-0 lead scoring three goals in the first 3:15 of the game. CMU settled in and tallied their first goal by Kelsey Krebs (Coryann Ledford assist) at the 25:47 mark. The Rangers scored on back-to-back goals for a 5-1 lead taking advantage of a man-up opportunity. CMU's Ashley Eickoff's unassisted goal cut the deficit to 5-2 with 17:28 left in the first half.
	The Rangers put together a string of four straight goals mid-way through the first half to extend the lead to 9-2. All four goals were free position goals. CMU's Paige Amme broke the string with an unassisted goal. Regis closed out the half with two goals to take an 11-3 halftime lead.
	Regis opened the second half with five straight goals for a 16-3 margin. CMU went on a three-goal streak with Paige Amme picking up her second goal of the game. Kelsey Krebs followed with her second goal and Kelly Cronin scored on a free position shot to close the gap to 16-6. CMU would score two of the final three goals with Coryann Ledford's goal (Lexie Chavez assist) with just under eight-minutes remaining in the game. Ashley Eickoff would record her second goal on the day with 3:29 left as CMU dropped the contest 17-8.
	CMU was outshot 41-16 by the Rangers. The Mavericks had 12 ground balls to the Regis' 22 and CMU finished with 23 turnovers to the Regis' 14.
	Eickoff, Amme and Krebs each had two goals in the game. Eickoff and Maddie Spor had three ground balls each. Lexie Chavez finished with a team high four draw controls.
	Lauren Wells and Kady Herzog shared time in the net. Wells allowed 13 goals and recorded four saves. Herzog played the final 27:27 of the game and gave up four goals and made five saves.
	CMU will travel to McKendree University on Thursday and matchup with first place Lindenwood on Saturday in St. Charles, Mo.
