#7 Mavericks Drop Yellow Jackets 82-55

Colorado Mesa (19-1, 15-1 RMAC) cruised to an 82-55 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over visiting Black Hills State University (7-3, 6-10 RMAC) on Friday night inside Brownson Arena.  

Katrina Selsor finished with a career high 31 points, including 20-first half points. She posted her seventh double-double on the year, grabbing 10 rebounds. Katrina was 10 of 13 from the floor, 2 of 3 from beyond the arc, and added two assists and one steal.

Kelsey Sigl recorded 16 points and Christen Lopez had 10 points and a game high five assists.

CMU led 44-32 at halftime shooting 52 percent from the floor and 6 of 12 from the 3-point line. Katrina Selsor and Sigl combined for 13 of the Mavericks 16-first half baskets. CMU held a 20-7 rebound margin in the first half.

Colorado Mesa outscored the Yellow Jackets 38-23 in the second half and closed out the contest with 36 rebounds, including 14 offensive boards. CMU shot 53 percent from the field and forced 17 Black Hills State turnovers.

Black Hills State was led by Logan Cowan's 14 points. Three Yellow Jackets registered double digits.

CMU will host Chadron State on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Saturday's game is CMU's annual Cancer Awareness 'Pink in the Paint' game. All proceeds will benefit the Swing for Life Foundation.
