#4 Mavs Close Out Road Trip with 77-61 Win

Colorado Mesa (22-1, 18-1 RMAC) pushed its win streak to four and road record to 9-1 beating Western New Mexico 77-61 on Saturday night in Silver City. CMU led from start to finish shooting 50 percent (26-52) in the game.

Kelsey Sigl picked up where she left off Friday night (30 points, 10 rebounds) scoring a game high 31 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Sigl's back-to-back double-doubles on the weekend road swing, included 19 points and five rebounds in the first half. Sigl's 31 points ties a career high.

Katrina Selsor finished with 22 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Sharaya Selsor posted 13 points and two assists. Katrina and Sharaya notched 13 and 11 points respectively in the first half. CMU led 36-25 at intermission scoring 19 baskets off 16 assists. Katrina had seven assists and Christian Lopez had four assists in the first 20-minutes.

The two teams combined for 11 treys (CMU-6) and 26 turnovers (CMU 10, WNMU 16). CMU's largest lead was 19 points at the 14:48 mark in the second half. The Mustangs pulled to within nine points (68-59) with 3:49 left in regulation. CMU closed out the game on a 9-2 run, with Sigl scoring six of the final nine points.

CMU will travel to Western State Colorado University this Saturday in Gunnison. Tip-off set for 5:30 p.m.
