The Colorado Mesa University wrestling team had their final home dual of the season on Saturday night against the Colorado Mines Orediggers in Brownson Arena. The Mavericks picked up their 20th dual victory of the season and moved their record to 20-3 on the season and 6-2 in RMAC duals while Colorado Mines drops to 3-11 on the year and 0-7 in RMAC matches.
The Mavericks dropped the opening match of the night but rebounded in a big way. Colorado Mesa picked up three consecutive pins to take a commnding lead in the dual.
Senior 
Tyler Nelson, wrestling in his final home match, pinned Oredigger Robert Schulthies in 4:51. Nelson improved to 12-8 on the season and gave the Mavericks a 6-3 advantage.
If that wasnt enough, 
Drew Schumann stepped on the mat and wasted no time. Schumann took Mines' Gable Prach down and put him to his back to earn the pin at the 1:43 mark of the match. Schumann is now 19-11 on the season and gave the Mavericks a 12-3 lead.
Justin Schumacher got in on the pin parade. Schumacher had to work a little longer than the rest of them but earned a pin at the 5:37 mark. Schumacher trailed in the match before he hit a head-and-arm throw which earned him the pin. Schumacher is now 20-5 on the season.
After dropping the 157 pound bout, 
Tyler Miles picked up a major decision over Mines' Sean Burroughs at 165 pounds. Miles moved his record to 13-9 on the season and gave CMU a commanding 22-6 lead.
The Orediggers won three of the final four bouts of the night but couldnt make up the advantage the Mavericks held in the dual.  Colorado Mesa won the dual by a score of 25-18.
Next up for the Mavericks is the NCAA Super Region 4/RMAC Championships in Chadron, NE that starts on Friday February 22. The top four wrestler in each weight class will advance to the NCAA National Championships in Brimingham, AL in March.
