Colorado Mesa will host their home dual opener on December 19 when they take on the Bethany College Swedes in Brownson Arena. It will be the first of five home duals this season for the Mavericks.
The dual will be the fourth of the season for the Mavericks yet none have come against NCAA Division II competition. They are currently 2-1 after defeating Western Wyoming (36-6) and Northwest College (25-13) and falling to Division I Northern Colorado (22-30.)
This will be the first dual of the season for Bethany. The Swedes have competed in four tournaments so far this season.
Chester Granard leads the Mavericks with a perfect 6-0 record. Granard won the Colorado Mesa Open and is currently ranked eighth in the country by the NWCA.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
