GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa women's tennis improved to 2-0 on the season following an 8-1 win over Colorado Christian Friday (Oct. 4).
Kristyn Wykert improved to 5-0 in singles after defeating Elizabeth Vertin 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 5 position.
Kaylee Davis extended her winning streak to three matches with a 6-3, 6-2 decision over Katy Balli at the No. 4 spot.
Rachel McLaughlin won in three sets at No. 3 singles while Shannon McNamara won at No. 2.
The Mavericks won all three doubles matches with the one loss coming at No. 1 singles. Kara Williams defeated
Natalie Martin 3-6, 6-4, 10-4.
CMU will face CSU-Pueblo Saturday (Oct. 5).
