Colorado Mesa women's basketball (13-13, 11-11 RMAC) dropped its final regular season game at No. 6 Fort Lewis College (22-4, 19-3 RMAC) on Saturday night by the score of 92-57. The Mavericks will play at Metro State College in the first round of the RMAC Basketball Shootout Tournament on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
The Skyhawks led 52-29 at intermission and outscored the Mavs 40-28 in the second half. FLC hit 14 of 23 from the 3-point line and forced 23 CMU turnovers resulting in 19 points.
Kelsey Sigl finished with a team high 15 points and recorded 7 rebounds. Alaina Brennan had 14 points and Katrina Selsor had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
CMU enters the RMAC post season tournament as the No. 8- seed and will face No. 1-seed Metro State College (24-2, 20-2) on Tuesday at 5 p.m. on the campus of Metro State. CMU dropped both games this year versus Metro. The Roadrunners won 60-49 at home (12/30/11) and won at CMU 78-40 on January 28.
