Trace Wollner and Kade Robinson each recorded hat tricks in an 8-5 WILA win over Adams State yesterday at Invesco Field in Denver. A crowd of 1,220 were on hand to see the Mavericks pick up their sixth victory of the season and improve to 6-7 overall and 4-4 in the WILA.

 
                Robinson's and Wollner's hat tricks gave each player 13 goals on the season. Wollner also assisted on Robinson's third goal, a man advantage goal 1:07 before halftime.

                Brad Brandenburg picked up the win in goal for the Mavericks. He made 11 saves and picked up 14 groundballs. Johnny Nitti played well defensively as well, picking up four groundballs and causing four turnovers.

                On the game, the Mavericks beat the Grizzlies in nearly every statistical category including groundballs, turnovers, shots taken and clears. The Grizzlies were better on the faceoff, winning 11-of-16.

                  Coach AJ Stevens picked up a personal milestone with the win. The win gave Coach AJ Stevens his 50th career win. Coach Stevens previously coached at the University of Indiana, University of Illinois, and Roger Williams University.                

                  The Mavericks will play their final game of the inaugural season on Saturday April 30th on the road at Colorado College. The game is set to begin at 1:00pm in Colorado Springs.
