Mavericks Fall to Rangers, 20-7

                The Mesa State Women's Lacrosse Team lost its first Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (WILA) match on Saturday night at Walker Field. The Mavericks fell to the Regis Rangers 20-7 and fall to 1-5 and 0-1 in WILA action.

 

                The Mavericks fell behind in the first half 14-3 but came back and played well in the second half, scoring four second half goals.

 

                Mesa State was led by Alexis Rawlings(Castle Rock, Colo.) three goals and by Allie Henderson's (Parker, Colo.) two goals and two assists.

 

                The Mavericks were 8-for-11 on clear opportunities and 1-for-2 on extra man opportunities but lost the turnover battle 14-6.

 

                Mesa State will be back in action on Wednesday as they will take on Ft. Lewis in WILA action. Faceoff is set for 3:30pm at Walker FIeld.
