Mavericks Too Much for ThunderWolves

                The Mesa State Mavericks had their first RMAC dual in over a month last night when they took on the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves in Pueblo, Colo. Mesa State won seven of the ten duals including the final six en route to the 25-12 RMAC win.

                Mesa State's first win came at 133 pounds when Tyler Nelson (HIghlands Ranch, Colo.) scored a fall 1:16 into the match against Ryan Kirby.

                The Mavericks would lose the next two matches then go on a six match win streak.

                Jon Gappmaier (Salt Lake City, Utah) started the streak at 157 pounds with a 10-1 major decision over Matt Addington. Next up at 165 pounds was Dylan Granard (Woodinville, Wash.) Granard notched a 7-2 decision over ThunderWolf Justin Grant.

                Zak Slotten (Twin Falls, Idaho), Kyle Brightman (Cheynenne, Wyo.), Shane Miller (Gardenrsville, Nev.) and Trevor Stapp (Tempe, Ariz.) all scored decision wins to close out the dual. 

                The Mavericks dual record improves to 4-4 on the season and 1-1 in the RMAC.

                The Mavericks continue their road swing tonight at 18th ranked Adams State. The RMAC dual is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm and you can catch the action on the America One Network.
