Mesa State men's tennis team opened the 2010 spring season at Division I Utah State Saturday morning in Logan, Utah.

Utah State (5-4) won all six singles and three doubles matches for the 7-0 victory. Division I tennis counts each singles victory as a point and the winner of 2 of the 3 doubles matches wins a point.

Senior Niko Carrizo fell in three sets dropping the third set super tie-break 10-4 at number six singles.

Rashad Khamis lost 7-5, 6-3 at number two singles.

MSC will travel to Orlando for spring break (March 8-13) for six scheduled matches beginning with Grand Valley State on Monday.
