Box Score No. 6-ranked Fort Lewis College (26-2, 15-1) turned a two point deficit (20-22) at 8:03 in the first half and went on a 19-2 run to close out the first half with a 39-24 lead. The Mavericks (8-16, 5-12) played the Skyhawks close in the second half (30-33) but could not crack the Skyhawks double digit lead.
Hannah Breidel led the Mavs with 16 points, including 10-second half points and grabbed six rebounds. Katie Cupp finished with 12 points, six rebounds and three assists.
MSC shot just three free throws (3-3) to FLC's 19 free throws (11-19). MSC turned the ball over 22 times resulting in 22 Skyhawks points.
FLC was led by Alison Rosel and Lauren McCulloch each finishing with 20 points. McCulloch was 6 of 8 from the 3-point line.
MSC returns home for its final regular season series versus CSU-Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands. Friday's game is set to tip-off at 6 p.m.
