Box Score Mesa State (4-2, 1-1) fell 79-68 to University of Neb.-Kearney (3-3, 2-0) Saturday night at the UNK Health & Sports Center.
MSC had three players record double-digit figures led by senior guard Katie Brady's team high 14 points. Katrina Selsor finished with 11 points, four rebounds and three steals. Kelsey Sigl recorded 10 points and six rebounds.
The Mavericks held just one lead in the game; a one point lead at the 16:27 mark in the first half. UNK held a 32-28 halftime lead and led by as many as 13 points with just 28 seconds remaining in the game. MSC cut the Loper lead to five points with 3:41 left in the game before UNK went on an 11-5 run to end the game.
UNK's Megan Becker led all players with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Vanessa Leeper finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Lopers registered double digit figures.
MSC returns home to host Western New Mexico and New Mexico Highlands this Friday and Saturday night. Tip-off time for Friday is 6 p.m. Saturday's game versus NMHU is a 5 p.m. scheduled start time.
