Mesa State women's basketball team dropped a non-conference game at Dixie State Saturday night 73-53. It was the Mavs first game since December 15 when they dropped a game at Division I Northern Colorado on December 15.

Meagan Selvidge led the team with her first double-double of the year with 18 points and a game high 11 rebounds. Selvidge had a game high 4 treys (4-8) and finished 5 for 10 from the field.

Dixie led 36-26 at half and led by as many as 26 points in the second period with the help of a 17-2 run to start the second half. Dixie forced 25 turnovers and recorded 17 steals. Dixie's Deanna Daniels led all players with 20 points.

MSC will return to RMAC action this Friday and Saturday as the Mavs travel to Chadron State (1/8) and Neb.-Kearney (1/9).
