Mavs Fall at CSU-Pueblo 65-56

Mesa State (4-10, 3-6) had their two game win streak snapped Saturday night at CSU-Pueblo (12-5, 8-1) falling to the ThunderWolves 65-56.

 The Mavericks had three players register double figures led by Meagan Selvidge's 14 points. Katie Cupp posted 12 points, a game high 8 rebounds and a team high 4 steals and 3 assists. Courtney McCaig added 11 points.

 MSC shot 45 percent (23-51) from the field but shot just four free throws the entire game.

 CSU-Pueblo shot 42 percent (22-52) from the floor and hit 15-20 from the foul line, including 10 of 11 free throws in the second half.

 CSU-Pueblo was led by Rachel Espinoza's 23 points.

 MSC returns home Tuesday night for a match-up with Western State. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
