MSC defeated Regis 5-3 Friday evening in an elimination game, sending home the Regis Rangers from the RMAC Tournament. 
                Jamie Prather's double in the first inning, scoring two plays later on a throwing error gave the Mavs a 1-0 lead. Regis tied the game on a solo homerun in the second inning. 
                The Mavericks took the lead for good scoring one rune in the third and 3 runs in the fourth and a 5-1 lead. Regis scored 2 run in the top half of the seventh to pull to within 5-3. Despite the Rangers out-hitting the Mavs, 11-7, the Rangers committed 3 errors resulting in 2 MSC runs. 
                Jessica Rayman pitched a complete game, improving to 8-5 on the year. Rayman allowed 3 runs (2 earned) on 11 hits. Gabriella Parra was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI.
                MSC will play CSU-Pueblo Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with the winner to advance to face undefeated Metro State. The winner of the MSC/CSU-P game will need to beat the Roadrunners twice (double elimination tournament) to clinch the RMAC post-season title.
