Regis University (21-12, 13-5) earned a series split winning Sunday's doubleheader over the Mavericks 2-0 and 14-6. The two losses dropped MSC to 11-13 overall and 7-11 in RMAC action.
The Rangers scored two runs in the third inning and shut out MSC in a 2-0 victory in game one. Regis' Bianca Holley earned her ninth victory, allowing six hits and striking out four.
In game two Regis broke open a 3-3 tie scoring four runs in the fifth inning and seven runs in the seventh for a 14-6 win. MSC committed six errors, a season high, allowing the Rangers 12 unearned runs.
MSC's Danielle Vallie went 3 for 4. Kristen Silva and Sara Jordan had two hits each.
Mesa State will host Fort Lewis College in a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m.
