Mountaineers Win 78-59

Box Score

Alishea Kelly's career high 22 points were not enough to lift the Mavericks on the road at Western State Tuesday night. MSC was outscored 45-28 in the second half and dropped a 78-59 contest to the Mountaineers.

MSC trailed 33-31 at half but struggled early in the second half as the Mountaineers pulled away. Western State out-rebounded MSC 46-33 and made 16-of-25 free throws in the second half for the conference victory. WSC had three players finish in double figures including a game high 23 from Amber Murray.

Kelly's 22 points and seven rebounds were both Maverick highs in the game.

Mesa State will travel to Silver City, NM Saturday night for a match-up with Western New Mexico.
