Box Score Mesa State out scored Regis 45-38 in the second half but it was not enough to overcome the 23 point deficit (30-53) the Mavericks faced following the first half. Regis won the game 91-75 after shooting 51.6 percent (32-62) from the floor. The Rangers shot 57.6 percent in the first half including seven 3-pointers.
Alishea Kelly led the Mavericks with a season high 20 points. Stephanie Delgado and Heather Habekost finished with 16 and 11 points respectively. Delgado recorded 9 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.
Regis had four players score in double figures including Courtney Ault's 9-of-10 from the floor and seven treys. Regis finished 13-of-3 from beyond the arc.
The Mavericks (3-7, 0-4) will break for the holiday and return to action December 28-29 as they host the Holiday Inn Christmas Classic. MSC will host #4 ranked West Texas A&M, Northern State (SD) and RMAC foe Fort Lewis College. The Mavs will play West Texas A&M Sunday at 6 p.m. and Northern State on Monday at 2 p.m.
