Jennifer Landers scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for her first double-double as a Maverick in the Mavs 62-52 road loss at Metro State. The loss dropped the Mavs to 3-6 and 0-3 in league action. The win improved Metro's record to 3-6 and 2-1 in RMAC play.

                MSC trailed by eight points at half (25-33) and got as close as six points at the 11:44 mark of the second half, but failed down the stretch to close the gap. The Mavericks had 21 turnovers in the game and were out-rebounded by the Roadrunners 46-36.

                Mesa State will match up Saturday night with the Regis Rangers in Denver.
