COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released their All-Academic team for women's wrestling on Thursday (Apr. 2) afternoon. Colorado Mesa was represented with 15 total recipients, five First Team members, and the Academic Wrestler of the Year.
To qualify for the honor roll, wrestlers must have a 3.30 or higher GPA, be in at least their second year at their nominating institution and have used a season of eligibility. To qualify for nomination to the first team, athletes must have a 3.50 or higher GPA and meet the other criteria.
Redshirt junior Val Glenn was named the RMAC Academic Wrestler of the Year after earning First Team honors in 2025. Glenn maintains a 3.98 GPA in English and Secondary Education course work. She is a three-time NWCA Scholar American and went 13-4 this season at 160 pounds.
Glenn won the York Open and placed third at the Eagle Women's Open. She placed fourth at this year's RMAC Tournament and has placed in all three RMAC Championships that have been contested.
Sophia Cornish earned First Team honors as she maintains a 3.77 GPA and is majoring in Biology. The Mission Viejo, Calif. native was recently named to the NWCA Scholar All-America for the second time in her career after going 25-11 on the season. Cornish claimed the RMAC Championship at 117 pounds and now has a career mark of 47-18.
Sophomore
Gretchen Donally was named to the First Team after finishing the season with a 29-12 record. The Ballantine, Mont. native sports a 3.92 GPA and is working towards a degree in Civil Engineering. She is a two-time NWCA All-American and now has a career record of 56-20 in her two seasons.
Senior
Hania Halverson earned her second straight RMAC All-Academic First Team honor. Halverson, the 2024 RMAC Academic Wrestler of the Year, has a 3.90 GPA and is earning her degree in Exercise Science. The Kalispell, Mont. native is a four-time NWCA Scholar All-American and finished her career with 77 wins which is the fifth most in program history.
Sophomore
Brooke McCurley was named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team for the first time in her career. McCurley has a 3.82 GPA and is earning her degree in Biology. The Round Rock, Texas native is a two-time NWCA Scholar All-American after going 20-11 between 124 and 131 pounds.
