GAME 1 (CSUP 12, CMU 4; 6 inn.):
The Mavs fell in a run-rule loss to begin their day as they struggled to battle off a Pack offense that recorded 13 hits and scored often.
The Thunderwolves scored in every inning of the game with them eventually ending things early in the bottom of the sixth.
They took the early lead with two runs in the first inning on a single and a throwing error before then adding another pair in the second on a two-run triple.
They then scored again in the third on another single after the runner reached base on an error.

The Mavs had a similar sequence take place shortly after in the top of the third when they looked to score a pair on an hit to the left side of the infield, but after runner interference was called on the play, once again the stalemate continued.

Tied at one apiece, the Pack then collected their first lead of the day in the bottom of the sixth when they scored two more runs on a single and a squeeze bunt.
The Mavs were able to bring a runner to second base in the top of the seventh with the tying runner at the plate for a chance to force extras, but couldn't capitalize as CSUP ended the game on a strikeout and a lineout.
Marisa Nehm allowed just six hits and one earned run in the loss before giving way to Sophia Tassinari who pitched the final two outs.
The Mavs were outhit 6-4 in the game with a combined 10 runners being left on base.
