Olivia Reed Thyne earned both offensive and defensive player of the week honors after her performance on the road last weekend.
Olivia Reed Thyne averaged 22.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 4.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals in the weekend sweep of South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State.
The Windsor, Colo. recorded the first ever triple-double in program history as she finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in the regular season finale for the Mavericks. She shot 80 percent (8-for-10) from the field including 1-for-1 from three and 7-for-7 from the line.
It was the first triple double of the season in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the 20
th across all of NCAA Division II.
This marks the second time this season Reed Thyne has earned both offensive and defensive players of the week. It is the third time she has won the offensive player of the week honor and the fifth time for the defensive award.
Reed Thyne and the Mavericks are set to take on Colorado School of Mines in the Quarterfinals of the RMAC Tournament on Tuesday at 5:30pm in Brownson Arena.
