COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Colorado Mesa University's
Aidan Brock was named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
In what his first career game, the redshirt freshman midfielder from Highlands Ranch, Colorado scored three goals and added two assists while helping the Mavericks claim a big 19-4 win at Adams State in both team's conference opener on Saturday afternoon in Alamosa.
The Mavs are now 35-0 all-time against the Grizzlies.
Brock, who redshirted in 2025, scored on all three of his shots throughout the game and scored a pair of goals just 54 seconds apart in the third quarter.
The Mavericks are now off to a 2-0 start for the fourth straight year and are ranked 13
th in
Monday's edition of the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association NCAA Division II poll after sitting 12
th last week and 14
th in the preseason edition.
They will be off for the next two weeks before resuming their season on Mar. 5, when they take on Florida Southern in their home-opener.
