KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Small College Basketball and the National Awards Committee announced the Trevor Hudgins Top 25 Watch List for the 2025–26 season this morning with Colorado Mesa's Ty Allred being recognized as one of the players to watch.
Allred has now been recognized by two different watchlists through this organization with him previously being a part of the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List which was released on Jan. 15.
This list highlights some of the nation's top senior student-athletes competing across NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, USCAA, and NCCAA programs.
Allred earns this honor while being the Mavericks top scorer this season averaging 18.8 points per game and grabbing 8.2 rebounds per game. He currently ranks in the top five of the RMAC for both categories.
Out of the team's 20 games this season, Allred has scored in double figures in 19 of them with him also collecting nine separate 20-point performances. He tallied a new career-high in points against UCCS on Jan. 31 as well with 33 points.
Allred is the first Maverick to be named to this watch list since its creation in 2023.
The Trevor Hudgins Award will be presented annually to the senior who has had the finest overall four-year career within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be overall career statistics and achievements, team achievements, awards, and personal character. The player must have played his entire career at the small college level. This will be the highest award given to a four-year player within Small College Basketball.
On March 1st, the list will be reduced to the Top 15 players with the finalist being announced on April 5th. The eventual award winner will be selected and announced to the public on April 7th.
Allred is the only player to be represented from the RMAC on this list.
