SAN ANGELO, Texas— Three Colorado Mesa University Maverick volleyball players were named to the Kathleen Brasfield Invitational All-Tournament Team after the Mavericks went 3-1 in the season-opening tournament, hosted by Angelo State University.

Allison Waller all earned the accolades.
The Mavericks were able to record 3-set sweeps of Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Nazarene on Friday and another of Texas Permian Basin on Saturday afternoon before opening 1-0 and 2-1 leads against the host and nation's second-ranked Rambelles in Saturday night's tournament finale, before eventually falling in five sets.
Scoville led the Maverick attack with 35 kills and added 33 digs, nine service aces and seven blocks throughout the weekend. Madsen was right behind 33 kills on .308 hitting while Waller registered 55 digs while surpassing the 1,000 career milestone. She was also perfect on 33 reception attempts.
The Mavericks continue their season at this weekend's Cal State LA Tournament playing three matches on Friday and Saturday against Cal Poly Pomona, the host Golden Eagles and Simon Fraser.
