COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— After sweeping the wins in both diving events in Saturday's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference road win over the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers, Colorado Mesa University junior David Roethlisberger was named as the conference's Men's Diver of the Week, conference officials announced on Thursday afternoon.
 
The Blacksburg, Virginia native surpassed the NCAA Championship qualifying standard in both the 1 and 3-meter diving events with 6-dive scores of 318.45 and 335.55 points, respectively.
 
The Diver of the Week honor is the first conference accolade of his career.
 
The nation's fifth-ranked Mavericks won Saturday's dual, 132-109, and have now won 14 straight RMAC duals in a streak that has stood since 2016-17.
 
The Mavs are in action again on Friday when they will head to Salt Lake City to face NCAA Division I and Big 12 Conference foe Utah.
