MANHEIM, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced their Scholar All-America Women's Wrestling Teams late on Monday (Apr. 15). Colorado Mesa earned a spot on the list checking in at No. 5 this season.
The Mavericks came in with a GPA of 3.6808 and their third straight top-5 finish in the Scholar All-America team rankings. Earlier this season, Colorado Mesa had eight wrestlers that were named to the NWCA Scholar All-Americans and were among the top-10 in total recipients this season.
Colorado Mesa earned the top spot in both the 2018-19 and 2021-22 seasons and have never finished lower than sixth place in the GPA standings. During the 2022-23 season, the Mavericks placed third with a 3.635 GPA.
North Central earned the top spot in the NWCA Women's Team Scholar All-American Award with a 3.8270.
