CMU Alpine Ski stayed home for race #3 with homehill Powderhorn as the host. Our race weekend aligned with Mavs Takeover the Mountain and the Mavily gave the skiers the homehill advantage as they cheered on the Mavericks. The weekend consisted of a Dual Slalom with head-to-head action on Saturday and then a regular Slalom on Sunday. Overall, CMU joined seven other teams who participate in the Rocky Mountain conference (Air Force, CU, CO School of Mines, Western, CSU, Fort Lewis and University of Utah) for a fun and competitive weekend of racing.

Jamie Weibler placed a best of 24
th. The women's team remains in 6
th place overall. On the men's side, student-athletes
Halsey Lucas scored a best of 10
th,
Tyler Weldon scored a best of 15
th,
Colby Malpass scored a best of 17
th,
Preston Sobeck scored a best of 23
rd,
Palmer Lyons scored a best of 25
th,
Nick Hearn scored a best of 27
th, and
Tanner Rozek DNF. The men's team is holding a competitive 3
rd place overall.
Alpine Ski will head to Keystone next on February 16
th for a weekend of racing.
