LOUISVILLE, Ky.— Colorado Mesa University redshirt junior Sarah Jorissen was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's NCAA Division II All-South Central Region Team on Wednesday.  The Berthoud, Colorado native was selected to the first team at the first base position.
 
She ended her season on a high note being named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Tournament team after leading the Mavericks to the championship game.
 
Throughout the season, Jorissen, hit .349 (53-152) and hit 11 doubles, a triple and four home runs.  She also drove in 26 runs and drew 17 walks while scoring 23 runs.  Jorissen finished the year with a .513 slugging percentage and .408 on-base percentage.

She was also solid defensively, committing just five errors while racking up a .983 fielding percentage.
 
Jorissen also saw periodic time as one of the Mavericks' pitchers and posted a respectable 4.67 ERA while holding opposing batters to a .286 batting average over 15 innings pitched in eight total appearances, including three starts.
 
The Maverick have hat at least one NFCA All-Region pick in each of the past seven completed seasons dating back to 2016.
