MANHEIM, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association handed out their January Wrestlers of the Month late last week. Colorado Mesa's
Holly Beaudoin was named the Co-Region V Wrestler of the Month for January.
The Poulsbo, Wash. native went 4-0 in January at 136 pounds with all four wins coming by fall. She went 3-0 before an injury forced her to bow out of her fourth match of the day. She earned a pin over 143-pound No. 8 ranked Kelly Escamilla of Lindenwood and closed out the month with a pin of Ryleigh Dye of Chadron State in a dual in Nebraska.
Beaudoin joins her teammates
Marissa Gallegos and
Hailey Chapman as previous winners of the award.
Beaudoin and the Mavericks will compete in the Bearcat Open in Lebanon, Ill. on Sunday.
