DENTON, Texas – The No. 3 Colorado Mesa women's wrestling team moved their dual record to 4-0 on the season after winning a pair of duals on the road on Saturday (Dec. 3) evening as they defeated Texas Woman's University 37-8 and Schreiner 39-8.
The Mavericks won eight of the ten total bouts and the first six contested bouts in a 37-8 win over the Texas Woman's Pioneers.
Kaylie Catalano won the first contested bout by pin at 3:33 after bumping up to 109 pounds.
Jada Llamido returned from injury and secured a pin at 143 pounds followed by a pin by fellow freshman
Aynslee Hester at 155 pounds. The freshman duo combined for a total of 2:03 of mat time in the dual.
Jennesis Martinez (101) and
Lizzie Miller (130) earned wins via the forfeit while top-ranked
Marissa Gallegos picked up a technical fall win to remain unbeaten on the collegiate season.
