DENTON, Texas – The No. 3 Colorado Mesa women's wrestling team moved their dual record to 4-0 on the season after winning a pair of duals on the road on Saturday (Dec. 3) evening as they defeated Texas Woman's University 37-8 and Schreiner 39-8.
 
The Mavericks won eight of the ten total bouts and the first six contested bouts in a 37-8 win over the Texas Woman's Pioneers. Kaylie Catalano won the first contested bout by pin at 3:33 after bumping up to 109 pounds.
 
Jada Llamido returned from injury and secured a pin at 143 pounds followed by a pin by fellow freshman Aynslee Hester at 155 pounds. The freshman duo combined for a total of 2:03 of mat time in the dual.
 
Jennesis Martinez (101) and Lizzie Miller (130) earned wins via the forfeit while top-ranked Marissa Gallegos picked up a technical fall win to remain unbeaten on the collegiate season.

In the nightcap, the Mavericks once again won eight of the ten contested bouts in a 39-8 win. They won six straight matches by pin with their two other wins coming by technical fall.
 
Lizzie Miller began a string of six straight pins at 130 pounds and was followed in succession by Hailey Chapman (136), Celina Cooke (143), Aynslee Hester (155), Melena Jones (170) and Jayleen Sekona (191).
 
Jennesis Martinez and Marissa Gallegos each won by tech fall.
