COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released their all-conference teams for football on Thursday (Nov. 17) afternoon. Colorado Mesa had five first or second team selections and 13 overall recipients of honors.
Senior tight end
Dagan Rienks was named to the All-RMAC first team. It is his third time earning all-conference honors but his first, first team selection. The Paonia native finished the season with 27 catches for 407 yards. He also threw one pass that went for a touchdown and returned a New Mexico Highlands onside kick for a touchdown in the season finale.
For his career, he finished with 76 catches for 1,034 yards and eight touchdowns.
Safety
Liban Shongolo earned second team honors after finishing the season with 63 tackles with two pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries. He had a season-high 13 tackles against Chadron State in the overtime win.
Linebacker
Kaden Stewart earned second team honors after a solid sophomore season. Stewart had 44 tackles with 12 of those going for a loss. He led the team with seven sacks but also added a pass break-up, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick.
Freshman
Kash Bradley earned second team honors as a kick returner. He averaged 23.6 yards per return which ranked second in the RMAC and No. 35 nationally in the statistic.
Redshirt freshman
Ben Sargent was named to the second team as a punter. He finished second in the conference and No. 13 nationally in punting average at 42.3 yards per punt.
