COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released their All-Conference teams for football on Friday (Nov. 21) afternoon. Colorado Mesa had a total of 12 individuals selected for either the first team, second team or were an honorable mention.
The All-RMAC teams are nominated by their head coaches and selected by the conference's head coaches who are not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes.
The Mavericks were led by their lone first team selection in running back
Aiden Taylor. The Modesto, Calif. native rushed for 1,021 yards and 10 touchdowns during his senior season becoming the first Maverick since 2017 to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark. Taylor had back-to-back three touchdown games against Adams State and New Mexico Highlands and had a season-high 167 yards against the Cowboys.
The senior finished second in the RMAC in rushing yards and was No. 20 in NCAA Division II. His touchdown total was sixth-best in the conference.
Taylor was a second team selection last season and totaled 1,690 yards and 16 touchdowns in his brief two-year Maverick career.
