GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – A dominant second half from Fort Lewis College was the deciding factor as they were able to defeat the Mavericks 83-77 in Brownson Arena.

Jared Small put on a strong performance for the Mavericks in the first half as he put up 12 points in the first 20 minutes. He was able to put up a three right at the buzzer to end the half, where the Mavericks had a two point advantage.
Even though Small put up quite the performance, redshirt freshman guard

The Skyhawks took advantage of the Mavericks drawing personal fouls late in the game as Riley Farris went 6-7 from the line helping him get 27 points in the game. After overcoming the deficit, they knew that they had to make a run of their own. FLC went on a run that allowed them to stay up six points and win the game.
