COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— After winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Regular Season title with a 3-set sweep at the Colorado School of Mines last Monday (Mar. 29), the Colorado Mesa University Maverick Volleyball team has swept the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors, which were announced Monday (Apr. 5) by conference officials.

Sabrina VanDeList was named as the Setter of the Week for the third straight week while sophomore middle blocker
Savannah Spitzer was recognized for the Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week. Junior
Kerstin Layman was also tabbed as the Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks.
VanDeList, a native of Severance, Colorado, recorded 23 assists, eight digs and a match-high three service aces in last week's win over the nation's 13
th-ranked Orediggers. The Mavs also hit .305 as a team.
Spitzer, a product of finished with 13 kills on .571 hitting and recorded three blocks while Layman tallied 19 digs to lead the Maverick defense, which held Mines to a .204 team hitting percentage and to just two service aces.
The Mavericks, who are ranked second nationally in the latest (Mar. 31) AVCA Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll, will host the RMAC Tournament this week, beginning Thursday. The Mavericks are the top seed and will take on No. 8 seed UCCS in the third quarterfinal match on Thursday at 5 p.m.
