Mavericks Win Streak Stopped at Five

GOLDEN, Colo. – Colorado Mesa snapped its five-game winning streak in an 87-76 loss to the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers on Saturday evening in Lockridge Arena in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action.

Mines led by as many as 11 points in the second half at 69-58 but the Mavericks cut the lead to five with 4:16 to play in the game following a Clay Verk three-pointer to make it 71-66. The Mavericks wouldn't get any closer though as the Orediggers extended their lead from anywhere from six to eight points in the final four minutes.
