GUNNISON, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa men's basketball team shot an astounding 69.8 Percent from the field to pick up their first win of the season 108-70 over Pacific Union in the first day of the Comfort Inn Classic at Paul Wright Gym.

Senior Michael Skinner led five Mavericks in double figures with a game-high 17 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field. He was 8-of-9 from the free throw line while pulling down six rebounds and handing out four assists.
